Naigaon-Vasai-Nallasopara-Virar - Still Living in the Dark

The Maharashtra Government has turned a deaf ear to our woes. Why should only we suffer because of load-shedding? The power outage is now for more than 8 hours a day. In other parts of the city too like Thane, Vashi, Mulund, Bhiwandi, Dombivili, the load-shedding is between 3-5 hours, while the rest of Mumbai is enjoying 24 hours un-interrupted power and at the same time wasting electricity.

DON'T WE PAY TAXES?
ARE WE NOT HUMANS?

DON'T WE HAVE CHILDREN WHO ALSO WANT TO PLAY AND STUDY?
DON'T WE HAVE SICK AT HOME?
SHOULD WE NOT CELEBRATE ANY OCCASION?

CAN WE NOT ENJOY A MOVIE AT HOME ON A SUNDAY?

WHY DO ONLY WE HAVE TO SUFFER?

The Chief Minister of Maharastra - Vilasrao Deshmukh consumes power more than the Prime Minister of India. His official bungalow on Malabar Hill has consumed more than double the units of electricity (16.35 lakhs) than the official residence of the PM over the last 3 years.

When his eldest son got married recently, so much of electricity was consumed for the lavish wedding. Do we deserve to get married in the dark and in the heat??

Make the common man pay for the politician’s errors - that is the dictum of our Maharashtra government. Shame on you all the politicians including our so called MP - Govinda.

After a recent agitation at Nallasopara and Virar stations, A MSEB officer commented "With poor monsoon, more load-shedding is on the cards and consumers should cooperate instead of agitating". Why should only we cooperate? Why can't the entire state of Maharashtra cooperate? Why are commercial establishments like shopping malls, multiplexes and amusement parks not facing load-shedding? Even at residential areas in Mumbai, the street lights are on during broad daylight? Do we suffer so that you can waste electricity? Maharashtra has gone to the dumps.

Load-shedding should be in the entire state of Maharashtra including Mumbai for 2 hours daily - 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. This way we can save electricity and bring unity and equality amongst all.

Hey, This is really true. We too are human beings and why should only few parts of Maharashtra suffer. If load shedding is to be done, do it equally in every part of the state. Thats real unity.

Thanks for the initiative friend. We should also be treated human and equal too. One hour of power cut at highly overconsuming mumbai city will be enough to cover all the shortages. Those huge hoardings with hundreds of tubelights eat up all our power. There should be some restriction there.

As an MSEB officer commented "With poor monsoon, more load-shedding is on the cards and consumers should cooperate instead of agitating". I would like to tell him that let the entire state of Maharashtra co-operate for this cause. Why we alone?

Even if the electricity cut from the malls, multiplexes, amusement parks, hoardings etc for 2 hours a day will make a lot of difference.

And a futher load shedding can be done by cutting electricity for 1 hour from the entire city.

Treat everyone equally.

good thought my friend.
instead of cutting Vasai-virar light, thses guys should cut a electricity of mumbai. they should charge 2X amt on these malls. somewhere it should started.

From Vasai

Really Good Work. Why only citizen of Vasai - Virar should face the power cut and also they dont know how long the load shedding will be.
From this long Load shedding the Citizens of Mumbai should also face few hours daily.

Yes there should be some kind of action taken.
such as new power plants, and new techniques to improve the generation of power. let atleast the international gaints help us to setup some project to generate power in our state. Only this is the thing which our indian government can do. multi national are always there to help us for the same, but our poor ministers are corrupt and they won't do this, so its we who have to take some actions, go to delhi for help.

loadshedding is not the only option to save energy, u can't save power consumption by loadshedding.

thanking you.

we r not treated as humans ....there are many problems every person is facing becoz of this power cut. childrens in middle class family cant do therir daily studies...why is this only happening with us shoudnt students from our side become some thing big in their life havent they got any ambitions...people work the whole day in their offices ...an wen they come home there no power...is this our life.....pppl we should do some thing for this.....we have to protest...

This is true.. we r living like animals only.
1. There is so much rush in the train
2. No power at home till 10:00 PM
3. Power off in the nights many times.(Sleep less nights )
4. Not enough water supply.

Do people in Mumbai used to face any problem like these???
They are really careless about the Power usages. There should be power cuts in the residential area in Mumbai.

Lets stop the mail trains in virar - vasai unless we dont have enough Electricity supply.

juz chk this out...

No NewsPaper = No Bill
No Cable = No Bill
NO ELECTRICITY = WHY BILLS....???

Let's not pay the bills for the month of July 2008
(ie. the bills that we get in mid-August)

Every family should return MSEB's bill to its office with a remark
"NO PROPER ELECTRICITY NO BILLS...!!"

Average Bill Rs. 250 X 5000 Families = Rs. 12,50000 (over 12 Lacs)
5000 families is a huge no.
It surely can make a difference...

That might wake them from their slumber...

& wat the hell will they do if we dont pay...?
Cut the power... ??
Waise bhi dete kab hai...???? [:x]

Think abt it...
Spread the word...
Ashish.

Do you understand the implications of a two hour power cut in mumbai? The city that accounts for 40% of India's GDP. 4+ % fall in national GDP. That is surely not going to happen. You can't turn off power for commercial establishments. Charge them more? They are already charged more... they just don't mind the cost. Industrial areas in Vasai too have power all the time, except on friday when they have an off. Residential area will always be the first to take an hit in a power crisis.

Unless more power is produced, I do not see how the situation is going to be solved. Setting up a power plant takes years. Leave it to the government, and you are talking of about 10 years. (Remember the 4 lines from borivli to virar?). If you want a solution any earlier than 2017, find alternate means to produce power.

This is time for some Action. Get the crowd together, attack MSEB & run immediately ... no arrest .. no FIR . fiasala on the spot.

Let's get together and spread the awareness of this cut in electricity through the common people. As the power of people as whole is huge as compared to one set of people. Place a Right to Information Application regarding the generation and supply of power distribution in the whole state. True picture is wholly different than that shown by these politicians. The power usage of these politicians is far more than us common people. Cut their electricity usage and the state will definitely improve in it's power usage.

I stay in Vasai n am a resident from the past 24 Yrs(am that old though), electricity has alwez been an issue, be it Schools n Colleges or Offices n Factories!

If Mumbai gets 24 X 7 Supply of electricity jus coz of it urban crowd and the posh offices n Multiplexes, then Vasai n Virar is no less behind. With a crowd of more than 50 Lakhs are still rising, Govt ppl expect us bear each n everything they force us, n we are ready to take n e thing and then cry over it or talk to each other about it.

Lets speak up guys n gals!!!

Lets Unite!!

what a piece of crap this country is!!! I am glad I left this shithole for greener pastures.. (sorry guys, but you got to call a stick a stick) Unfortunately, parents still living here.
I can feel the pathetic state of Mumbai the moment I set foot here.

Fucking power cuts have resumed in New bombay even though we have about 100% bill payment. On the other hand my driver who lives across the bridge proudly claims that he gets free (stolen) electricity and never faces load shedding.

Why don't they fucking cut the power where it is being stolen instead of making innocent people suffer.. India will never be a developed country. India deserves to be a failed state.. I'm still surprised how the system functions here in the first place.. I guess its thanks to the british we have some things like the trains (the trains have not changed a bit since they were introduced 70 years ago)

suicide-bomb the MSEB and vilas rao deshmukh. That retard does not deserve to live another second.

To be honest, (navi)-mumbaikars deserve this treatment. All they ever do is take the easy way out and blame the politicians.

95% of people I spoke with (including my college friends) proudly say that they never vote, and they still feel right in holding the politicians accountable.

Poor Naigaon people. Friday is dark Friday for them. (Morning sharp 6'O' clock to night 10 p.m. not sharp 10 p.m.) Good for only those who are love dark. In India or World this dark day only for Naigaokers. So sad. Only GOD can help them. Or big Star Sun can.

Load shedding kab tak rahega nallsopara main or kab tak raat bhar lad shedding honewali hai.

electricity to mumbai se bhi save ki ja sakti hai to sirf naegaon, Vasai or nallsopara or virar se hi kyu save kar rahe ho.

Anonymous said...

kuch nahi honewala... govt. chor hai..

Almost entire Maharashtra is under load shedding!
Instead of elevated rail corridor project, they could have invested in reducing load-shedding!
